9/15 Troop Meeting – Dacey Field 7:00 – 8:30pm Meeting will include obstacle course, bike inspection and bike relay races as well as meal planning and duty rosters for upcoming trip. Please bring bike to the meeting.
9/22 Troop Meeting Franklin Methodist Church 7:00 – 8:30pm Meeting held outside at church and will be used to finalize meal planning and duty rosters. Scouts will also learn how to make stretchers. There will be opportunities for rank advancement and games if times allows.
9/29 Troop Meeting Franklin Methodist Church 7:00 – 8:30pm Meeting held outside at church. Meeting will include recap of Block Island trip and discussing of October trip along with some information on using GPS. The meeting will conclude with a troop Court of Honor.
10/6 PLC & Committee Meeting – Meetings will be virtual; information forwarded at later time.
Upcoming Trips
9/24 – 26 Biking on Block Island
We will be camping at Aquapaug in Rhode Island and taking the ferry to Block Island for a bicycle tour of the island. 9/24 Friday night meet at the VFW 5pm and depart 5:30 for camping at Aquapaug Scout Camp in West Kingston, RI
Saturday 9/25 we will take the 9am Ferry from Pt Judith to Block Island. Ride the bike loop around the island and have lunch at the beach. The loop is approx. 8 mile. Take the 3pm Ferry from Block Island to Pt Judith
9/26 return to Franklin approx. 10AM. Fee for this trip is $25 to cover the cost of the Ferry. Sign up deadline is Sept 15 in order to secure reservations on the ferry.

Popcorn Show and Sells
The Troop will be selling popcorn as its primary fundraiser for the year so full participation is required of all scouts. Each scout is required to sell $960 of popcorn. Show and sells average about $50 per hour per scout. Each time slot requires 1 adult to be signed up along with 2 scouts.
We have storefront shifts open for this Saturday 9/18 at Walmart Bellingham. This is a great opportunity to sell! Please be sure to sign up soon.
