4/24/14 Smith & Wesson Tour:    Jean Roche will be taking a group to the plant for any scout 12yrs and older (age restriction defined by the plant).  There is no cost.  Attached is the permission slip.   Smith & Wesson, due to security reasons, will need a commitment at least 2 weeks in advance.  Sign up for this day trip will be due 4/3 along with a certification form for Smith & Wesson.    Smith & Wesson_PermSlip 03-21-2013  Tour Visitor Cert-03282013

The cost includes Fri/Sat lodging, breakfast/dinner Sat and bkfast Sunday, Sat lift ticket.  If any scout is interested in lessons etc., we can get a discounted rate but will need to know in advance.

2/5/14 Committee Meetings at the Charter School:

• 6:30 PLC
•  7:30 Troop Committee – all adults encouraged to attend

2/8  Eagle Project:  Join Andrew Hartnett in renovating a room at the Wrentham State Development Center – priming and painting the walls and door frames, donating plants and curtains, and painting a small mural. This is a great way to receive community service hours for school and for rank advancement.   Please bring any painting supplies you have (except paint)

2/8  Skating Merit Badge & Troop Skate:  This Saturday Bob Latshaw is offering the skating merit badge and welcomes the troop to skate on his home skating rink.  Parents must accompany their scout.  Bob’s address is 19 Baron Road. Franklin.   Please RSVP to boblatshaw@yahoo.com     The schedule is as follows:

• 2:00 to 3:00 Skating Merit Badge
• 3:00 to 4:00 Troop Skate

All scouts with some skating experience should give this merit badge a try.  Bob has some loaner skates that would fit shoe sizes 9-11.  If you don’t have skates then try to borrow some from a friend. Bring your hockey stick if you have one.
Stay alert for a cancellation announcement. If the weather turns warm this event will be cancelled.

• If you are bringing your own equipment:  $55 (ages 12 and under) – $65 (over 12)
