1/15/14 Troop Meeting 7pm:  all scouts need to attend this week so that Klondike, Scout Sunday, and Feb. ski trip planning can be done

2/2/14 Scout Sunday:   Our chartering  organization, the Franklin United Methodist Church, has invited our scouts to participate in their 10am service. Please let Kevin Cronin know if attending. Also, St. Mary’s will have a Scout mass at 9 am. Please let Ray Cadorette know if attending.  Other churches may have scout masses as well. All scouts are encouraged to attend one of the services.

2/8  Eagle Project:  Join Andrew Hartnett in renovating a room at the Wrentham State Development Center. It will involve priming and painting the walls and door frames, donating plants and curtains, and painting a small mural. This is a great way to receive community service hours for school and for rank advancement.   Please any painting supplies they have (except paint)

• If you are bringing your own equipment:  $55 (ages 12 and under) – $65 (over 12)
• If you need equipment rental (note helmet is a must):  $85 – $95 (same age breakdown)   If renting equipment, there will be a release that needs to be signed by a parent before we leave [if the parent is not coming ].Peak Resorts NH – Ski Rental Liability Release and Indemnity Agreement – 2013-2014       SkiSchoolInfoLiability1314

If any scout is interested in lessons etc., we can get a discounted rate but will need to know in advance.

2/12   Parents – save this date for a parent meeting during the regularly schedule troop meeting.

• If you are bringing your own equipment:  $55(ages 12 and under) – $65 (over 12)

Coming Soon… once the weather turns cold Bob Latshaw would like to host a skating event and the skating merit badge at his house. The date will be dependent on the weather and that there may be a last minute announcement or cancellation of the event due to the weather.

• All scouts are expected to attend in uniform with bolos and sashes and arrive at 3:00 for rehearsal.
• All troop families are invited.
• We will be having a reception immediately following the ceremony celebrating Patrick’s acheivement.
  • Families with last name from A-D please bring beverages (small bottles of water, juice, etc)
  • Families with last name from E-Z please bring a dessert
